THE FREQUENT SKIN DISEASES DIAGNOSED AT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract
The incidence of some skin diseases are increasing at adolescent and early adulthood period. The most frequent disease at this period is acne vulgaris whereas fungal diseases, dermatitis, dermatosis which are due to stress and other reasons, oral mucosal lesions and herpetic lesions of perioral region are also frequent. In this research we aim to determine the frequent dermatologic diseases of university students and 147 female, 74 male, a total of 221 students are included. We questioned the dermatologic complaints of students, then examined dermatologically in detail and registered ages, sexes, findings of the dermatological examination and dermatological diagnostic informations. As a result it is found out that the most frequent diseases are acne vulgaris (34.1%), allergic and pruritic dermatosis (16.6%), fungal diseases ( 13.0%), and eritamatous-squamous disease (8.3%).

ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNDE SIK GÖRÜLEN DERİ HASTALIKLARI

Özet
Adolesan ve genç erişkinlik dönemlerinde bazı deri hastalıklarının insidansı artmaktadır. Bu dönemde gençler için en çok sorun yaratan dermatolojik problem akne vulgaris olup, mantar hastalıkları, dermatitler, stres kaynaklı ve kaşıntılı dermatozlar, ağız yaraları, uçuk gibi deri hastalıkları da oldukça sık izlenmektedir. Bu araştırmada, üniversitede okuyan gençlerde sıklıkla gözlenen deri hastalıklarının saptanması amaçlanmış olup, dermatoloji polikliniğine başvuran 147?si kız, 74?ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 221 öğrenci çalışmaya alınmıştır. Bu öğrencilerin dermatolojik yakınmaları sorgulanmış, daha sonra detaylı dermatolojik muayeneleri yapılarak, yaşları, cinsiyetleri, dermatolojik muayene bulguları ve dermatolojik tanı bilgileri kaydedilmiştir. Sonuçta hastalarda en sık rastlanan dermatolojik problemlerin akne vulgaris (%34.1), allerjik ve kaşıntılı dermatozlar (%16.6), mantar hastalıkları (%13.0) ve eritemli-skuamlı hastalıklar (% 8.3) olduğu saptanmıştır.
