Evaluation of Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors in Health Care Workers

Abstract
This research was conducted as a descriptive study for the purpose of determining the healthy lifestyle behaviors of health care workers employed at university and state hospitals in Afyon and Denizli. There were 1779 health care personnel in the sample who were employed at university and state hospitals in Afyon and Denizli. It was planned conducted the research on the entire population however some health care workers did not want to participate a total of 316 health care workers were included in the study sample. Data were collected between 15 June-15 Agust 2006 using a demografik questionnaire form and the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale. In the evaluation data gained, Number-percentage calculations, t-test, One Way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests were used. This study was determined that 84.5% of the health care workers were nurses, 55.7% were in the 20-30 year old age group, 75.0% were married, 39.2% worked on surgical units, 69.6% ate regular meals, only 22.8% were interested in sports, 61.1% did not smoke cigarettes. Sağlık Çalışanlarında Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Özet
Bu çalışma, Afyon ve Denizli il merkezindeki Üniversite ve devlet hastanelerinde görev yapan sağlık çalışanlarının, sağlıklı yaşam davranışı biçimlerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Afyon ve Denizli ilindeki üniversite ve devlet hastanelerinde görev yapmakta olan 1779 sağlık çalışanı örnekleme alınmıştır. Evren üzerinde çalışılmış ancak çalışmaya katılmak istemeyen sağlık çalışanlarının olması nedeniyle 316 kişi örnekleme dahil edilmiştir. Veriler 15 Haziran -15 Ağustos 2006 tarihleri arasında demografik soru formu ve “Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır.Verilerin değerlendirmesinde, sayı-yüzdelik hesaplamaları, t- testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Kruskal-Wallis ve Mann-Whıtney-U testleri kullanılmıştır. Sağlık çalışanlarının %84,5’inin hemşire, % 55,7’sinin 20- 30 yaş grubunda, %75.0’inin evli, %39.2’sinin cerrahi birimlerde çalıştığı, %69.6’sının düzenli beslendiği, sadece %22.8’inin sporla ilgilendiği, % 61.1’inin sigara kullanmadıklarını ifade ettikleri saptanmıştır.
